PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer prep Course

You tell your students to aim for PADI Master Scuba Diver. You also want to tell them that you can take them all the way there because you’re a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. The Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating sets you apart from other dive instructors by showing your commitment to continuing your dive training and being prepared to help others continue their training as well.

You’re a new instructor? Just finished the IE? No problem. Seek PADI Specialty Instructor Training and the Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep Course.

To qualify as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, you must be a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor with five PADI Specialty Instructor certifications, and you must have certified at least 25 PADI Divers.

PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course

As a seasoned PADI Instructor, you have wisdom and experience to share with up-and-coming PADI leaders. And, you know that continuing your education never ends. As an Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor, you help bring up the next generation of PADI Instructors while gaining in-depth instructor-trainer knowledge. Because IDC Staff Instructors are an integral part of the PADI IDC, you set the stage for moving on to PADI Course Director as you present topics in the IDC and help shape PADI Divemasters and Assistant Instructors into PADI Open Water Instructors.

In addition to all the courses you can teach as a PADI Instructor, you can also:

  • Teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses
  • Assist PADI Course Directors in conducting the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)
  • Assist PADI Course Directors in conducting instructor-level continuing education

PADI IDC Staff Instructor Update

For PADI IDC Staff Instructors who need to be updated, here's the step to take. This update covers many of the new PADI training materials available, which include new lesson guides, new training videos, and new teaching presentation videos, including academic, confined water and open water portions. It gives also an overview of the curriculum changes, which largely affect Instructor Development, and of the new PADI's e-Learning initiative. Most notably, an emphasis on awareness is included and the control and delivery evaluations have been split. The new curriculum changes are effective now since March 2007.

PADI Master Instructor Rating prep Course

DISTINCTIVE SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR COURSES

Full Face Mask Diver

This course is designed to introduce divers to the Ocean Reef Neptune II Full Face Mask and develop the knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to use this type of FFM. This course reviews the planning, organization, procedures, potential problems and hazards associated with full face mask diving and teaches the use of an underwater communication system.

Course Structure : 1 day  (academics + 1 OWD)

Azimuth Rebreather Diver

The purpose of the Azimuth Rebreather Diver specialty course is to familiarize divers with the pleasure of diving with semiclosed rebreathers in general and of diving wih the Azimuth rebreather in particular. This course is intended to provide the necessary training to acquire and develop the skills needed to be able to enjoy in total safety semiclosed rebreather diving.

Course Structure : 1 day  (academics + 2 OWD)

Delayed SMB Diver

This course covers the knowledge and techniques required for the safe use of Surface Marker Buoys and delayed Surface Marker Buoys. They are used to allow shore cover / boat support to identify an ascending diver, alert boat traffic to the presence of a diver, provide a visual reference for ascending divers.

Course Structure : 1 day  (academics + 1 OWD)

Recompression Chamber Awareness

The purpose of the Recompression Chamber Awareness distinctive specialty is to provide a safe and well supervised introduction to a hyperbaric or recompression chamber facility and the possible treatment therein. The goals of the training here are to introduce divers to the recompression chamber and to enable divers to safely take part in a recompression chamber dive to a maximum of 18 metres.

Course Structure : 1 day  (academics + 1 in-chamber dive)

PADI Altitude Diver

Any time you’re diving at 300 to 3000 metres/1000 to 10,000 feet above sea level, you're altitude diving. If you want to explore the hidden world of a mountain lake, the PADI Altitude Diver Specialty course is for you. The PADI Altitude Diver Specialty course familiarizes you with the rules and procedures necessary for altitude diving, including how to use the Recreational Dive Planner at altitude.

The PADI Project AWARE Fish Identification Specialty course provides you with the fish identification basics so that next time, you know the answer.

PADI Boat Diver

The PADI Boat Diver Specialty course familiarizes you with the various ways you stow gear, enter and exit the water, use surface lines and more, depending upon the type boat and the location.

PADI Cavern Diver

If you dive within the light zone of a cave, the area near the cave entrance where natural light is always visible, you're cavern diving. If you want to explore secrets hidden in caverns around the world you'll want your PADI Cavern Diver certification. During this course you will learn to use the equipment and procedures that allow you to explore such areas safely. This is a challenging and very exciting course that includes four training dives over at least two days.

PADI Coral Reef Conservation

The AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course teaches divers, snorkelers and nondivers about the vital role of coral reefs in the marine environment. The course also familiarizes participants with the current state of the world's coral reefs and how they can help.

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty course is an entry-level emergency oxygen course that also teaches you how to recognize dive illnesses treatable by emergency oxygen. In this course, you learn how to plan dives that extend your bottom time by crediting you for slower nitrogen absorption when you ascend to a shallower depth. PADI National Geographic Diver
