 Oxygen + Helium - Bubbles = FUN!
NEW!!! TDI Advanced Mixed Gas CCR training offered now!

TDI Inspiration (Classic/Vision) / Evolution Air Diluent CCR Diver (Mod. 1)

The TDI Inspiration and Evolution Air Diluent course (certification depends on unit/electronics used) is your first step into closed circuit rebreather diving and your first truly quiet diving experience. Using the latest in technology CCR’s maximize your gas supply of Nitrox and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). During the dives (minimum of six) I will teach you all the necessary skills to conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 40 m / 130 feet. The skills include:

  • Setup and maintenance of the unit
  • Loop volume management
  • Calibration of electronics
  • Emergency procedures
  • Buoyancy control
  • CNS tracking

The TDI Inspiration/Evolution manual provides comprehensive information about the units and how they operate during a dive. Also available is the Inspiration/Evolution build-up check list that can be adhered to the unit case for easy reference.

Student Prerequisites:
• Minimum age of 18
• Minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
• Proof of 60 logged open water dives
• Minimum certification level of Advanced Nitrox Diver (Advanced Nitrox Diver may be combined with this course) or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI.

Course Structure : 5 days (6 dives + academics + CWD)

TDI Inspiration (Classic/Vision) / Evolution Mixed Gas Diluent CCR Diver (Mod. 2)

The TDI Inspiration and Evolution Mixed Gas course (certification depends on unit/electronics used) is your next step into closed circuit rebreather diving and with the addition of helium as a diluent gas, it is your opportunity to explore a little deeper. Using the latest in technology CCR’s maximize your gas supply and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). During the dives (minimum of six) I will teach you all the necessary skills to conduct CCR dives utilizing helium as a diluent gas and oxygen levels as low as 16 percent to a maximum depth of 60 m / 200 feet. The skills include

  • Calculating off-board gas requirements
  • Recovering from system failure
  • Calibration of electronics
  • Emergency procedures
  • Removing and replacing off-board gases
  • Surface marker buoy deployment

The TDI Inspiration/Evolution manual provides comprehensive information about the units and how they operate during a dive, this combined with the TDI Trimix Diver manual complete the academic knowledge needed to conduct mixed gas CCR. Also available is the Inspiration/Evolution build-up check list that can be adhered to the unit case for easy reference.

Student Prerequisites:
• Minimum age of 18
• Have a verified log of a minimum of fifty (50) rebreather hours distributed over a minimum of fifty (50) dives on the specific rebreather. Fifty (50) % deeper than sixty six (66) fsw / twenty (20) msw. All to be deeper than twenty (30) fsw / nine (9) msw. If the diver has fifty (50) hours on another CCR unit recognized by TDI, only twenty five (25) hours are required to be on the Inspiration / Evolution
• Have completed and qualified the TDI Air Diluent Rebreather Course or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI

Course Structure : 5 days (6 dives + academics)

TDI Inspiration (Classic/Vision) / Evolution Advanced Mixed Gas Diluent CCR Diver (Mod. 3)

The highest level of CCR training that TDI offers, the Inspiration/Evolution Advanced Mixed Gas course will teach you to use the full capabilities of a CCR. With a maximum depth of 100 m / 330 feet this course opens up new wrecks, caves, and walls to explore. This intensive course conducted over seven days will focus on all the elements needed to plan and execute dives to these depths. Topics and skills for this course include

  • Off board gas calculations and management
  • Gas shutdowns and loss of gas drills
  • Equivalent narcotic depth calculation
  • Recovering from system failure
  • Labeling and placing of off board gases

Student Prerequisites:
• Minimum age of 18
• Have a verified log of a minimum of one hundred (100) CCR hours distributed over a minimum of one hundred (100) dives on the Inspiration / Evolution CCR. Fifty (50) % of these dives must be deeper than one hundred (100) fsw / thirty (30) msw. All to be deeper than twenty (30) fsw / nine (9) msw. If the diver has one hundred (100) hours on another CCR unit recognized by TDI, only fifty (50) hours are required to be on the Inspiration / Evolution
• Have completed and qualified the TDI Air Diluent CCR Course or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI
