DAN Oxygen First Aid For Scuba Diving Injuries

Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries represents entry-level training to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to better recognise possible dive-related injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and/or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.

DAN Advanced Oxygen First Aid For Scuba Diving Injuries

The DAN Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Course is a Training Program for those individuals who have successfully completed the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries course. It is designed to train DAN Oxygen Providers to use a positive pressure valve (as the MTV100) and/or a bag-valve-mask (BVM); depending on local legal laws and regulations.

DAN Medical Oxygen Rebreather

A Medical Oxygen Rebreather (MO2R) is designed to provide high concentrations of emergency oxygen for up to eight hours, using a small oxygen cylinder. It will benefit a responsive and breathing injured diver where there is a substantial distance to the nearest medical facility or delay to the next level of response. During the DAN MO2R course, DAN Oxygen Providers will learn when it is appropriate to deploy the Medical Oxygen Rebreather, how to set up the system and how to use it. Thanks to a Medical Oxygen Rebreather and divers trained in the use of such systems, diving in remote locations will be safer than ever.

DAN Oxygen First Aid For Aquatic Emergencies

Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies represents training designed to educate the public to recognise possible aquatic related injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest medical facility.

DAN First Aid For Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

Injuries represents entry-level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to identify hazardous marine life, to recognise possible injuries caused by hazardous marine life, to provide first aid for hazardous marine life injuries and to avoid hazardous marine life injuries.

DAN Basic Life Support

The DAN Basic Life Support (BLS) course will not only train divers and non-divers to resuscitate an injured person with a circulatory arrest, but can also prevent a person from getting in that condition. External bleeding, choking and shock  can lead to severe circulatory and respiratory problems. The DAN BLS course will prepare you to react in the correct way, when accidents happen.

DAN Automated External Defibrillator (AED) For Scuba Diving

DAN Automated External Defibrillator course (AED) for Scuba Diving represents entry level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public to better recognise the warning signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and administer first aid using Basic Life Support techniques and an Automated External Defibrillator while activating the local emergency medical services, (EMS) and / or arranging for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility.

DAN On-Site Neurological Assessment For Divers 

Learn how to conduct a neurological assessment on a potentially injured diver in this course. The information gained in this assessment can help convince a diver of the need for oxygen first aid, and help a dive physician determine the proper treatment.

DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) - DAN Diving First Responder (DFR)

DAN Europe’s Comprehensive Training packages
DAN offers several dive-specific first aid training programs. Because these courses are often taught independently, there is repetitive information and skills. the Diving Emergency Management Provider and the Diving First Responder Course allows DAN Instructors to offer an integrated course that allows divers to learn the information and skills in DAN Training Programs, at a significant savings of time, but without sacrificing any skills.
While the Diving Emergency Management Provider course combines the Oxygen, AED and HMLI course, the DAN Diving First Responder course also includes the skills and knowledge from the Advanced Oxygen Provider course.

DAN Diving Emergency Specialist (DES)

DAN’s recognition program for divers who are interested in dive safety.

DAN Instructor Qualification Course (IQC)

Active Diving Instructors with an active CPR certificate can participate in a DAN IQC to get certified as DAN Instructor for one or more of the above mentioned courses. DAN Instructor Update Workshop

A Training Programme, developed to reactivate the teaching status of those who are inactive DAN instructors. Also active instructors can participate in this workshop to fulfill training requirements. We will review: General Standards and Procedures (incl. registration procedures), Course Standards and Procedures from the specific course, Skills Assessment, Training Materials, DAN Membership Procedures, etc.

DAN Europe DSL (Diving Safety Laboratory) Research Project

The first level of the research pyramid is the "DIVING SAFETY LAB BASE”. At the base you will find all the information about the research protocol, the documents, and the Doppler units.

DAN Research Diver

At the second level of the research pyramid we find the RESEARCH DIVER; Research Divers choose to dedicate some of their dives to DAN Research. All they are required to do is giving a few minutes to download the dive profile of their personal dive computers, fill in simple questionnaires and, occasionally, submit to a post-dive Eco-Doppler bubble recording. The Research Diver is the real protagonist of the research.

DAN Research Operator

The third level is the RESEARCH OPERATOR. He’s the main Operator. ROs are Dive Guides or Instructors trained to collect questionnaires and dive profiles, using the DSL Black Boxes. The software dedicated is called IMMERSIONI and you can download it at this link : Immersioni.
